Seems that i cannot eat lettuce without causing problems hours after I eat. I have to be very careful eating or even the smallest morsel will cause me to feel I have to get it out of my throat. I fear eating many foods.

How to control acid reflux?
Had a friend whose blood thinner medication reacted with lettuce the same way. Check with your doctor about which medication is causing this and what to do.
Thank you
Thank y I will ask my doctor
Lettuce is an unusual trigger for GERD, but clearly it has many different pathways. There are a couple of natural remedies for GERD that generally work quite well. The most commin one is apple cider vinegar, 1-2 T. in 4 oz. of water before each meal (3 x a day). For many people, a couple weeks of this regimen and their GERD becomes a thing of the past. For me, this helped but didn't entirely solve it, so I found total success with a couple of weeks of treatment with slippery elm bark tea (the bark is found in powdered form in health food stores, with instructions on the bottle for making the tea). Deglycerinated licorice can also be helpful. See the website earthclinic.com for effective natural remedies for a whole host of maladies.
Mine is much better now I’ve stopped having as much dairy products.
