Put on hospice with COPD

Hi, just been put on hospice with copd, which I have had for many yrs. On Oxygen 24/7 & doing several medications to help. Do nebs every 4 hrs. etc. Mayo Hospice is coming on Wed. I have type 4 diagnosis but I will not let this or all my other physical problems stop me from living a life. I do not feel sorry for myself, I smoked but also worked in the sign industry where they spray painted signs with automotive paint without proper spray booths. I breathed in alot of acetone (in nail polish also) and in lots of things. I'm also a stroke survivor with mind brain damage. Lololololo, take 1 day at s time...lots of love and prayers to everyone with these problems.

Hi Diane they wanted to put me on hospice in 2009 I felt bad but not that bad so they put me on palitive care 2018 and no hospital visits in 4 years and I am still here. I still have to work on things. At one time they had me on so much morphine I couldn't get out of bed.

Thanks Kay and I will do the same in return. The weather here is sunny and the high is going to be around 50 so it's almost time to break out the shorts and sandals! Woopie

Hi Diane. I'm sorry I'm slow getti,g back. Bk. I'm glad to hear your not giving in or giving up. My family has been a rock for me through this journey so far. I lost my oldest daughter Jennifer in January 2016, she was 32. So, between being diagnosed very severe, a lot of meds and never ending trips to dr, I'm about wiped out. But like you I'm not giving in. I do my chores everyday, takes me all day lol, but they get done. Dragging oxygen 24/7 is a chore in itself. I'm glad you'll have some help it is a blessing to have. So many are living with this beast on their own. I hope all goes well for you. I'm here anytime ok, just leave me a message🙏💜
