Good afternoon, patricia7 here. Thank you very much for your responses, they do make me think. I am trying to understand re copd by listening to you all. I went to see my G.P. today because I have been short of breath at rest. I was worried that I would waste his time. He listened to my chest and said my chest was bubbly and wheezy and that I had a chest infection. He has given me an antibiotic and a steroid, prednisolone.I had my chest listened to last Friday 16th of December by the chest clinic out-patient consultant and I was fine. It has only been 5 days ;that is the bit I don't understand. what has made me have a chest infection today? Thank you patricia7.
Re Chest Infection.: Good afternoon, patricia... - COPD Friends
Re Chest Infection.

Could be just about anything, it could have been just starting when at other dr. But with me it goes from not sick to infected in 1 day sometimes.
Hi patricia7; For me it can happen in an instant, just let me out of into the public and that night I have a flare up coming on. It's worst in the winter. I have to stay on antibotic daily during the winter months. it's good that you listened to your body and went an got checked out. I hope you have a pulmonary doctor, you should also call them and let them know what is going on even after seeing GP. This lets pulmonary know the problems you are having and that your copd maybe getting worst. Are you retaining fluid?
