Dr useless gave me 3 mins of his time he never checked me over at all. Just gave me Perscription for stronger antidepressants which I not going take. I am having hot and cold shivers now and then plus sore throat and tight chest ( feels like I have been glossing a whole house) don’t understand why I seem to catch things so easy always washing my hands, house cleaned all the time, gargle with salt water every night. Keep away from people when they are ill too. Only thing I do have is a lot of stress with my grown up children. I am on waiting list to find new dr as this one does not very helpful . Any ideas please ?

Vonnie50, Some Drs. you have to grab to get they're attention, my pulmonologist would rather go talk to the office staff about whatever happens to be going on in his life at the moment.

The last time I saw him, I asked him a question, he left the room responding only with "I'll be right back", and then he didn't come back. Needless to say, that was the last time I saw him. I am now on the list to get an appointment with a new pulmo (problem is they are currently booking toward the end of the year).

All I can think of to suggest is if your symptoms get bad, maybe a visit to an urgent care center (if you have them) or the ER. In the meantime this is what I do every time I feel a sinus infection or a cold starting up; I put some honey on a jar (real honey, not the corn syrupy stuff you get in those little bear shaped jars) add a little cinnamon, I try to do about a teaspoon cinnamon per 1/2 cup honey (you can add more, it won't hurt you). I keep it on my kitchen counter and once or twice a day I take a small spoonful of it. Just don't overdo it if your immune system is compromised (mine is due to recent 2nd lobectomy). My oncologist told me it is okay in small doses (I asked him).

I hope this helps.

You certainly need a new doctor for starters, some of them just aren't worth wasting our time on. i would suggest you wear a N 95 mask when you are cleaning, this is what my doctor recommended to me. I found several different ones on Amazon, the ones I like the best have the extra filter inside of them. I also wear it when I go to doctor's offices or where ever there might be lots of germs. i also do the honey treatment but not with the cinnamon just straight raw honey. Will try it with cinnamon.

Oh my, you want to talk about stress? Got two kids in college, one lives here, one home for summer, also a 15 year old. Working as hard and fast as I can, struggling to put the youngest in braces. Constant flow of foreign germs from schools and husband who works with all sorts in mental health. I have not been sick, not a sniffle since last hospitalized with pneumonia, which was becoming a weekly occurance since last fall. Please, please try medicinal mushrooms. I take cordyceps a reishi blend and chaga. Also NAC to keep lungs clear, for depression, mget some sun, take alittle walk try to build up some stamina, get your endorphins flowing. Please look into some natural remedies, taking some of the control back will go a long way in lifting your spirits. Of coarse check for drug interactions, such as those with blood thinners. The existence of blood thinners makes no sense as diet is able to safely do this and if your on a healthy diet, wont need drugs. Warning your Dr will likely not support you in these efforts, but what do you have to lose. I was a hopeless case, I doing pretty well. Your still with us, Thank God, don't give up.

Thank you for your reply I am trying hard to look into more natural ideas as never been this ill before. Keep up the great work you been doing as you seem to be feeling greaaaattttt Your spot on Drs normally don't recommend anything that does not make the industry money

This is Very True. I tried with Blf to set up support group so we all had local place for support and tips but they have refused as no staff available to advise 😪. Where do you live I am in Maidstone Kent
