Hi,I posted a while ago concerning my son who had a fit test of over 200 , he had a previous colonoscopy which was clear.
He has had a CT of his pelvis and abdomen and has had the all clear from this today in a letter and been discharged from the clinic.
This is all great news but we still have no answers, he has had black and bright red blood from his bowl and diarrhoea 5 or more times a day every day. He is also suffering from anemia and low b12 .
Would that be the end of investigation now? surely he needs answers. I'm so frustrated .

Good to hear from you again given the circumstances. It better not be the end of the investigation. You definitely need answers because something is causing the blood in the stool. I can feel it in your post that you know there better be something else happening. Keep contacting the doctor or go for a 2nd opinion. Keep asking about what the NEXT STEPS are going to be. You did receive a lot of good info from the CT and colonoscopies; however, you did not receive answers to causes of the symptoms. The symptoms are continuing.
Be persistent. You need to advocate for yourself. Your son is young and I hope it’s not being fully investigated because of his age. Symptoms are symptoms no matter what the age is. A diagnosis is needed.
Please stay all over this. You know you are not done with it. And keep us up to speed on what you find out and are told.
