So 8 years ago I had a colonoscopy due to severe constipation, a backup in my bowels, mucus and slight bleeding. They removed seven polyps, four of which were pre-cancerous, the largest polyp being 7 mm. They told me to be checked again in 4 years which I was, and it came back clear.
Lately, I'd say the past 6 months, I started having mucus in my bowel movements again. Then they started getting flat. They're not always flat, I'd say about 50% of the time. No blood. But for the last 2 months, I've been having an issue with "leakage"? After I have a bowel movement, and I wipe until clean as I always have, for the next several times I use the bathroom (pee only), I'm wiping as if I had a bowel movement.
I don't have health insurance anymore so I guess I'm wondering if this is indicative of or a symptom of potential colon cancer or polyps? Obviously based on my history I should have a colonoscopy. But without health insurance it isn't as easy as that.
Any experience with this as a symptom I should have checked asap?
