hi everyone I had my fit test result back all clear but I only got the stool after wiping from my tissue would this matter? I’m still getting fleshy looking bits in my poo and I’ve had an all clear ultrasound and I now have a colonoscopy in 6 weeks time, do I now need to get cancer out my head as I’ve had that many good results because I’m now back to racking my head about it

hi Daniel,

They’re making you wait 6 weeks. It certainly ain’t urgent to them. Whilst that’s charmin’ that is! It’s more than likely you don’t have cancer at least. You’d definitely would have been seen a lot quicker if you did have it.

What you’re going is encouraging on the one hand, it’s still a nightmare in the other. You just wanna know what is wrong. Can it be treated and how. Hang in there. The wait is frustrating and not on really but there’s little you can do about it.

You “could” be cheeky and contact the hospital to see where you are on the waiting list. Definitely tell ‘em you’re dealing anxiety over this. They go easy on you if you tell them you’re anxious. Our healthcare should be up on that nowadays.

Hi Daniel,

It’s good to hear you have a clear FIT test. That is a positive. I don’t think there’s anything you need to be anxious about until you have your colonoscopy in 6 weeks. The colonoscopy will be very beneficial. The fact that you’ve already had some positive tests in your favor, having your colonoscopy in 6 weeks should not cause you much concern. It would be the same concern as if you were getting the colonoscopy next week. The "not knowing" and waiting drive the mind, but I think you're in a good spot and have everything lined up. My concern would be if they didn't offer you the colonoscopy. They did and that's right thing to be doing.

Schnoodle2017 has some good advice. You could contact the hospital and tell me you’re anxious about the results of the colonoscopy and perhaps they can move this up for you. You can also contact them and get on a list in case other people have to cancel. You’re available to fill in a spot.
