Sessile serated polyp large

I had a sessile serrated polyp removed large one, I was told it was pre-cancerous. I am 47 and I was supposed to have another colonoscopy in 6months, There has been a stuff up with mail as I moved and its been a year and three months.

I have noticed my stools look like clumped togther stringy bark with mucous and strks of blood.

I have intense tummy cramps after eating and as Im pushing to poop.

I have IBD and hernia and I am wondering if a sessile serated large polyp growing back can cause these symptoms.

Im waiting for the hospital to contact me but its a public hospital so people go missing.

thanks

hi there this is just how I started back in February this year, I had four polyps removed one was cancer, I then had lots of tests! Scans MRI blood, within three weeks I had a operation in my lower rectum to remove the scar tissue left, it came back with no signs of cancer, so hopefully they got it all I’m waiting for appointment for the sigmoid! the camera up , so you just keep on phoning your doctors and get it sorted just for peace of mind.

Hi Niftywater,

Thank you for posting on Colon Cancer Connected. I hate you're having to deal with this. But please focus on getting that appointment and that colonoscopy so you can get some good answers. Here is a group that you may be able to find some help navigating to your colonoscopy. You always have to advocate for yourself and perhaps getting a few others on your team can help.

Click on support and maybe getting a nurse or social worker can be beneficial to getting that colonoscopy sooner rather than later. You're doing all the right things. I know it's been 15 months and not 6 months, but it is what it is. We just need to focus on making it happen. I know navigating the public health care system can be troublesome. We just need to fight through it and get that colonoscopy done.

We do wish you the very best in finding the answers you're looking for. Please let us know what you find out as it is this type of information that could be helpful to others on this site. Not only about what your colonoscopy results are but also how you were able to navigate the healthcare system to make it happen. That's a big issue with others as well.

Thank you,

~Tom, GCCA Survivor - Colon Cancer Connected Site Administrator.

Just a reminder - this group is here to offer support, share experiences, and offer our thoughts - but this is not medical advice, and you should always consult your medical professional(s). Additionally, for all emergencies, seek urgent medical care, never delay.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. It means the world to me someone validating my feelings. I will join the group. I’m in a lot of pain as I have IBD and Hiatus hernia also. I feel like no one understands so thank you again.

Hello, how big is your precancerous polyp and is it mild or high dysplasia? Did they mention? Have you went back to follow up for another scope?
