Hi Lalac,
Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected.
There are many causes for blood in the stool, some are very treatable with medication, diet change, and minor procedures, and of course, there are more serious reasons for blood in the stool as well. For that reason, we always advise patients to seek medical care when they have blood in the stool.
Given what you are seeing, you should get this checked out further. You need to see a doctor for further tests.
Do you have any connections with healthcare when you were dealing with kidney cancer 6 years ago? I would start there. They would have a record from that time and tell them your insurance situation and perhaps they can give some beneficial input.
You could even go to a local clinic and they may be able to point you in the right direction.
Depending on income and other factors, this may be of some help in AZ. Not sure if you would qualify, but may be worth a shot.
The state's Medicaid program is called the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS). Depending on your income, you may qualify for free or low-cost coverage through AHCCCS.
When you put off dealing with small medical problems, they can turn into much bigger, harder-to-deal-with problems.
We do wish you the best. Please get this checked out by a doctor. You can navigate your way to one. And please keep us informed on how your journey is going. The information can be very beneficial to others.
Positive vibz for positive results coming your way👍

Just a reminder - this group is here to offer support, share experiences, and offer our thoughts - but this is not medical advice, and you should always consult your medical professional(s). Additionally, for all emergencies, seek urgent medical care, never delay.
Unfortunately I work making to much for medicaid but barely enough to cover my insurance with my company and the co-pays. But I'm still working on a solution because I'm deff concerned that it's more then a hemorrhoid etc. Thanx for you help and I'll definitely keep you updated!
Hi Lalac,
Totally understand the dilemma. The costs just to have insurance and then the deductibles can be terrible. Please focus on getting information and answers. You deserve that. When signs present themselves, sometimes they definitely need to be addressed. Maybe someone who had to deal with a similar situation will jump in.
Definitely keep me updated .. Please stay positive. 👍🤟❤️
What other symptoms do you have? I have been bleeding off and on for 3 years now. Got a colonoscopy and was all clear no polyps, no IBS but they did see internal hemorrhoids. Still bled so I asked for a MRI with contrast of my pelvic area focusing on my colon. It also came back clear. As well clean blood work. Hemoglobin levels were normal. Currently still bleeding every now and then. I was worried but after all that of it was something serious I would have already had sever symptoms other than bleeding. I say all this to you because it may just be hemorrhoids. A lot of people with colon cancer don’t even see evidence of blood. Let us know how your colonoscopy goes.
