My husband had bowel cancer ten years ago. He had part of his bowel and his bladder removed. I remember the worry when he was diagnosed, the wait for surgery and learning how to cope afterwards. Life still gives us challenges but we cope very well. If I can help anyone else through this illness, I shall gladly do it. xx

I have taught people with cancer, all types. I know how you feel, I have kidney cancer, right kidney, diagnosed 2013, nothing done yet. One lady had bowel cancer, also prior to that she had breast cancer.

Were you provided with information about the platelets? Were you given information about thrombocytopenia?

Unfortunately some of the people I taught did not know enough.

There is so much we can do to help each other, a kind word, a bright smile, even when we are at our lowest, we can do it.

May I offer a word of thanks to all the medics who help us.

Many thanks for your post and your generous offer to help. I hope you'll be able to follow community posts and help others who need support or kind word to stay positive. Much appreciated!

All the best to you and your family :)
