Hair Loss?

I was diagnosed with CLL in April 2024. I began experiencing symptoms in October 2024. I am not getting immunotherapy treatments along with taking Venclextra.

Lately (since probably a few months ago) it has felt like I am constantly shedding. I do have very thick hair (and long), so I guess it's possible that this is just it's normal process, but it seems like I may be losing more than usual.

Has anyone else experienced hair loss with CLL and/or immunotherapy/Venclextra treatments?

It seems to be very common and lots of reasons including stress. I found my shower tray full of hair soon after starting on Ibrutinib, so I changed my hair products to Aveda ( and not a plug ) . You also say your hair is long, so perhaps worth trying a shorter style.

Thank you, Colette! Yes, I plan to get it cut as soon as the weather turns a bit warmer.

I lost a lot of hair during the beginning of treatment. Once I stopped Rituximab/obinutuzimab hair loss gradually stopped and my hair started growing again. During the rest of my treatment on Venetoclax I didn’t have the issue anymore. I was on Venetoclax for 2 years.

yes, I experienced thinning of my hair also.
