Had my first consultation with my haemotologist yesterday. Did the bloods for FISH etc also. She reassured me that it is very early days. Will see her again in three months to go through all the test results at which time she hopes to hand me back to my local doctor for a very long time. My CLL was confirmed during a mole biopsy. Surgery for stage 3 melanoma was today (wide excision plus lymph nodes). I feel like I am on quite the journey. Am already finding this community helpful. Thank you.

Welcome to the site and you will find it of great benefit, I have. It is overwhelming at first diagnosis and getting used to all the jargon.I wish you well on your journey ahead and best of luck for a fast recovery from the melanoma surgery and any treatment you may have.
