I am on Ibrutinib for my CLL. Do I stop taking my Ibrutinib for a few days prior and after the biopsy? Thank you.

Prostate Biopsy / Ibrutinib
Urologist should consult the CLL doc before the procedure.
Depending on platelet & IGg levels, you should check about type of biopsy being done, UK standard is via anus. There is another technique (can't remember all the details but guided mri belly access where rate of infection much lower, and better diagnosis) Can't remember as was checking for brother. Hope this helps.
I was on Ibrutinib once and Pirtobrutinib another time while I had a prostate biopsies. The urologist would not do the biopsy until he had instructions from my CLL doc. Both times the recommendation was off 3 days before and 3 days after unless I had more than normal bleeding after and then I was told to stay off it another 3 days.

For a steroid injection of the finger I was told to stop BTKi two days before the procedure. Same for a leg muscle biopsy. However, for bone marrow biopsies they couldn’t care less and don’t ask me to discontinue it.
Up to your CLL doc like everyone said. Depends on the tissue.
