Constant Light-Headedness and Dizziness.

I’ve been taking 560mg/daily Imbruvica since 2016 for mantle cell lymphoma. Through 2021 there were no side effects to speak of. Beginning mid-2022 I’ve experienced varying degrees of light-headedness all the time. Less frequently, at it’s worst it’s a feeling of dizziness. Light-Headed and Dizzy is one of the side effects listed for Imbruvica. I cannot figure out if Imbruvica could be ruled out because it wasn’t happening for over 6 years. Or perhaps the cumulative effect of Imbruvica is causing this?? Thoughts anyone?

Hello, I have been on Ibrutinib for only 2+ years but after about 8 months in I started getting dizzy and feeling lightheaded. Sometimes when I bent over to pick something up, felt like almost fainting. I contacted my specialist and since Ibrutinib can cause heart problems they put me on a heart monitor for 14 days. They also recommended I contact my GP and she told me to stop my blood pressure medication since it seemed my BP was low. After doing so and getting a clean bill of health report on my heart - slowly the lightheadedness stopped. I recommend you contact your GP or specialist and have them look into what is going on. I hope this helps.

From what you write the reason points to low blood pressure rather than the Imbruvica. Once that was resolved the symptoms went away.

Low blood pressure is not an issue for me. I’ve been given a clean billolf health from ENT doc, Cardiologist, and neurologist. No findings of anything determinative for light-headedness. That lead me to think it just might be the Imbruvica acting up after 6+ years, although honestly I’m skeptical about that, but tnere doesn’t seem to be anhthing else to blame it on.

Thanks for the reply. Glad it was resolved for you,
