had a weird reaction a month ago tho knit was result of a bourbon drink. Very dizzy. Could not walk right for two days. Vomiting. But now a month later I still have dizziness almost every day. It’s mild but still there. Anyone every have this relate to CLL?

dizziness
could be a viral syndrome or less likely vascular.
Lasting this long, I would see my non-oncologist internist or GP.
That’s good news since I like bourbon. The waiter used a bic lighter to create smoke and I thought I saw butane drip in. But assumed I was mistaken and drank it anyway…on watch and wait so thought this was CLL getting worse.
Your balance may be affected by your ears. I agree with the others that you should get this checked out because falls are dangerous!
I also deal with periodic vertigo originally brought on by a series of antibiotics for a hard to resolve infection. Now my episodes are usually only positional vertigo - meaning when I lay down or get up, roll over etc... but if I wait a few moments I can right myself. It usually lasts a week or 10 days and is not incapacitating as it was in the beginning. This started pre CLL/SLL and pre-treatment so not related to CLL/SLL or treatment in my opinion. Wishing you the best in finding a a cause or resolution.
Years ago, before my diagnosis, I went to a festival that had craft beer tents where you could try their beers. My favorite was a blueberry craft beer. I had vertigo for 3 days afterwards. A few years later when seeing a functional medicine doctor I had a food allergy test because I couldn’t eat gluten anymore. After reading the test I realized I had developed a food intolerance to gluten, malted barley, and other foods. I realized that beer was “poison” to me and stayed away from beer. I think bourbon has malted barley in it. You may want to have testing done for food allergies. I had not been diagnosed with CLL at that point. There may be a connection between a compromised immune system and sensitivity to foods. Since then I’ve developed a sensitivity to chemicals and have difficulty walking down the aisle in the suoermarket with all the cleaning products. I always use natural organic products these days. Can you get tested for food allergies? Hope this helps.
I know alcohol can do it, dizziness and double vision, for one night but, we me, that's it so I haven't had more than 3 drinks per week.
Then, for the past several months I've had dizziness and shortness of breath getting up from a chair after sitting for an hour, or so, at night. It passes after a few minutes. With my Dr. help it was traced to my BP med, Irbesartan, which I take with my Acalabrutinib and Venetoclax after dinner. He changed the prescription to Amlodipine and now back to normal.
Did you drink enough water that day? I get terrible dizzyiness after drinking when I don't have enough water or haven't had alcohol in a while. I'm not sure what medications you are on. As for my hubby with CLL has 3 liters of water and at times does drink. He is on Acalabrutinib and Venetoclax and doesn't get dizzy
Is this dizziness constant? Low blood pressure and low hemoglobin come to mind. Possible internal bleeding or even stroke. I would definitely go to see my doctor about it.
Hey Mend
I doubt its related to the CLL. It might be a good idea to see a Neurologist. I'm assuming you are checking your blood pressure, and that it hasn't gotten too high.
I'm one who has a drink or two every so often, I've been on Watch and Wait for six years until I just started the pill (Zanubrutinib) on January 1, and I've never had the type of reaction you are experiencing from drinking. Granted I predominantly drink Vodka instead of Bourbon, but it would be the alcohol and not the type of whiskey that would produce the reaction. Still I don't believe it was the alcohol, and think it is a coincidence that the symptoms started after having a drink.

I understand about higher grade drinks, and the lower grades give heartburn, but even a lower grade whiskey wouldn't produce her symptoms.
Jack Daniels and Makers Mark used to be two of my favorite Bourbons, but I switched to Vodka when I started the Atkins diet many years ago. Vodka as Dr Atkins says is preferred due to 0 Carbs.

I've always had very low blood pressure and few months ago I started to have vertigo occasionally in the morning. I realized it was related to having a glass or two of wine the night before. SInce then I've learned that for some people, alcohol can decrease blood pressure initially (up to 12 hours after ingestion) and increases blood pressure after that. With the approval of my GP, I've started taking an electrolyte drink mix daily to increase my sodium, potassium and magnesium intake. It seems to have helped and I can enjoy wine again without worrying about fainting in the morning!
Wow. For all these decades I used to think I was drinking Bourbon, when I had Jack Daniels.
Perfect reply.
