These were taken out snowshoeing in the light of the full moon. Technically this one is called the “Snow Moon” and is the smallest of the year due to its distance from the earth
I really felt sore and exhausted and am starting to wonder if it’s the Ven or some bug that is causing all these symptoms of late.
But so glad I got myself up to the mountains to see this on a snow shoe outing.

Your photos are always so vivid that I can actually imagine myself there! Love the title too! You know sometimes it's ok to rest and get back your stamina back. Hoping you feel better soon.
what beauty! I think I’d push through too in order to get out in this. Much harder walking in snow though so enjoy the resting too. Here in the uk it’s just mud everywhere because of lots of rain.
PS By artist, do you mean something like draw or paint or photos or make art books etc. ? I love my pics and have tons and would like to figure out a way to share them as I think they could bring a lot of joy to folks
I have spent many years working in different modalities. I started off in graphic design in my 20’s. I then spent time working with clay. I’ve done collage work and silk screening. In the late 90s I went to school at night and earned a certificate in photography. When I went to grad school I earned my degree with a speciality in Expressive Therapy.
Is there a local gallery in your area? We are all creative in my family and my sister who does watercolors started off showing her work in a coffee house. Is there a school or craft center in your area that offers classes in photography? That may be helpful for support and resources. You could join an artists group/association and tap in to some of their art exhibits and shows! You can also look into downloading a program such as photoshop to help enhance your photographs if you want to.
My life and work have gotten in my way during the years! By the end of the year I plan on working less and getting back into being creative. Hope this helps! I’m glad you are tapping into your passion. It’s a great healthy distraction while living with CLL. Take care!!!😉
I was a workaholic as a surgeon Not many hobbies or social life just family and work.
Family grew up and moved all over country. My surgical practice suddenly sidelined with immune suppression during chemo round 1 and then COVID so I got super busy in telemedicine but after 4-5 years the lonely computer based work is just no replacement for hands on medicine.
My passion has been outdoor physical activity skiing in particular but with COVID and relapse and current treatment am most often too physically tired to do these to the same levels like I’d done in the past so trying to find new things that are exciting and engaging and maybe less physically demanding.
So figuring out how to fill the gap like displaying photography of the things I love sounds interesting.
So are you saying maybe print some of my things and take around to see if places would want to put them on display?
My sister has already retired and spending her time creating beautiful watercolors. She’s my inspiration and helps me to see I have a lot to look forward to once I free some of my time up!
A watercolor my sister had in a juried art show recently.
