Does anyone in the UK know of insurance companies who will insure someone for a skiing trip who is aged 75 and who was recently diagnosed with CLL - on watch and wait?

travel insurance
I was helped by insurancewith.com
So much been written about this on this site. Go to the search box at the top of the page and put in travel or travel insurance.
A time consuming activity to achieve comprehensive travel insurance at a competitive price especially when you are over 74 and have cancer. But it can be done😊
You may find a company who can help amongst these suggestions I posted some years ago;

Good luck!

I went to Peru last summer and I was refused by ALL the travel insurance companies, because the trip was to 5000m. It seems that 4000m was their limit. They would not let me exempt my condition, even the British Insurance Brokers Association couldn't help. The last place I tried (after a week of phoning around) was Big Cat Travel Insurance (for adventure travellers) and they agreed to cover me, but I had to tick the box saying that I didn't have any medical conditions, so my CLL wasn't covered. Luckily I didn't need to claim!!
I was covered by All clear whilst on watch and wait since 2016 but they wouldn’t renew this January as I am on active treatment with obinutuzumab and ventoclax the person I spoke to said that if I had a letter from my consultant saying that she was happy for me to travel they would look at it after finishing my 6th cycle of obinutuzumab , I hope to complete with the obinutuzumab by February so will speak to them again obviously after speaking to my consultant.
Good luck christine
all Clear works for me. I am on acalabrutinib and responding well.
I had a letter from my bank today (my travel insurance with AIG is part of my bank account) and the top line states it provides cover only for people under 75 so come June that's the end of my cover, irrespective of my CLL.
