Can anyone direct me to a list, or tell me which first line treatment targeted therapy drugs are covered (paid for or reimbursable)? i.e., Ibrutinib, Venetoclax, etc.
Thanks CAVE

Complicated question for me. I got fcr as first treatment. In hospital drugs were covered. Take home chemo drugs I had to pay for with help from my insurance and the complicated trillium system. At end of treatment I was out of pocket about $6500. I was shocked to find out that chemo is not covered if you take it at home. Trillium is complicated to navigate. Good luck.
thank you - I hope you are feeling ok - all the best
I asked my doc and was told we are covered by OHIP for Ibrutinib and Acalabrutinib, but not yet for Venetoclax.
Hi Curling123, Thanks for your response to my question. I'm glad to see that you are doing well with Alacabruitbib. I'm finding it challenging to get detailed information about OHIP coverage. To my understanding, there are restrictions for people under 65 years old, i.e., you can't be mutated IgHV, or you must have del17p, or you've already had FCR and have relapsed or refractory in order to qualify for a BTKi.
thanks !
