Covid third jab and blood test

Got my third covid jab next Tuesday after work but just remembered I have my 3 monthly on the Wednesday morning will have the jab give my bloods a false reading or is it fine

I personally don't think it matters. If the vaccine makes the numbers worse, they will go back next time you have your bloods done. If the numbers don't go back, it probably wasn't the vaccine.

I would have it done and mention it to your doctor.

I'll find out today. I had the 3rd jab last Wednesday and called the haematology team and they said that it would be fine to have blood taken on Monday. Due to COVID they don't see you immediately as they did in the past but call a few days later

I had bloods done within two days of the third jab, neutrophils and lymphocytes tanked, consultant confirmed yesterday that this was to be expected as the system is fighting the alien invader

Here was my non medically trained reply:

In most cases a doctor will not act or be concerned with one blood test result that is inconsistent with the trends, and wait to see additional tests if the vaccination causes an odd result.

You might was to call your consultant's office and ask whether they want to arrange a blood draw before your vaccination (I assume that your local GP surgery could take the blood and send it to the consultant's test lab if they both agree).
