Thanks for that. I'd just read the Telegraph version.

In the Guardian's it looks like for W&W it will be GP making the decision.

My own view is if I get a third jab I'd like it done separately to the flu jab to attempt to avoid Eczema problems I've had with past jabs. Was speaking to my GP earlier this week about this, but as they had nothing definite planned for either jab, they had no view on that thought.

Best wishes to all,

Ernest

Stephanie I’m laughing so much I spilt my wine! People here are still waiting for their first vaccination shot - so hopes of a third/booster shot look remote very remote maybe next year? I’d definitely have one. Down the track I think it will be an annual shot combined with flu shot. X

Many thanks for posting. There have been several articles in the newspapers on this subject and it will be very interesting to see if people on " watch and wait" will be included.

I passed all this today to the Blood Cancers group at my hospital in the UK, with all the page links to include the official government JCVI report and articles from Medscape etc.

Awaiting their response which may come on Monday afternoon after their weekly meeting.

Presently the advice is not to start any CLL treatment until the patient has had their third booster vaccination. Otherwise treatment might have to be halted for a few days during the COVID-19 vaccination.

Pfizer-Biontech and Moderna are going to be offered, however, a new NEJM article states that the Moderna vaccine results in 2x the antibody levels of the Pfizer vaccine.

I’m going to talk to my Haematologist at appointment later this month on this subject. But with the current vaccination rate I don’t think he’ll have much more information as to when.
