Had it a few weeks ago. Also ask for Prenvar 13 pneumonia injection. Also your close family should be covered foc as your care givers. X

They get it free under the care giver element and the risk with low immunity. Even my sister and brother in law have been done as they will be looking after me next year post BMT

I got one in Tokyo two weeks ago. (I’ve been on Ibrutinib for 15 months.) No problem other than a sore injection point for a couple of days.

Had my jab last week-no problems other than a couple of days feeling a bit slow...er. -bill

My mom has been on Ibrutinib for well over three years now and gets the flu vaccine every year without any issues.

Wishing you well,

Nan

Hi

I have been on Ibrutinib for four and a half years now . I have one every year. Once I had a sore arm but usually nothing to report. I swear by the drug as I have normal bloods, no symptoms or side effects and no cold or flu for ten years but I keep clear of those that do. Wear gloves in public places and walk in the other direction of children with coughs and sneezes.

Thanks and good advice I use sanitizer and like you run a mile if someone sneeze s also use Vicks first defence nasel spray if I have to mix with lots of people in a confined area

Update all done no problems other then a few aches bit of a mess at the doctor's as they told me I'm not eligible nor was my family as according to there system I'm perfectly healthy. After I threatened to make a complaint a senior nurse came through and sorted thing's out apparently the doctor's had no record of Me having cll or being on treatment .

Good old NHS but got there in the end
