Cll Blood tests and 3rd Covid

I have an appointment for my 3rd covid jab (additional priming covid vacination) tomorrow is it OK to do blood tests a few days later or will it effect the results?

Hi Safel,-

In most cases a doctor will not act or be concerned with one blood test result that is inconsistent with the trends, and wait to see additional tests if the vaccination causes an odd result.

You might was to call your consultant's office and ask whether they want to arrange a blood draw before your vaccination (I assume that your local GP surgery could take the blood and send it to the consultant's test lab if they both agree).

Hi Safel, I was in the same situation as you. I spoke to my CLL Specialist and was brought in for both blood labs and scans PRIOR to getting the jab. They did perform my bone marrow biopsy after the vaccine. It is important for me to say that I am on a clinical trial and my numbers are part of a study. I’m not certain if under “normal”situations, if it matters. I believe it is best to call and verify. Best of luck to you and please let us know if your specialist postpones labs or brings you in prior to the jab. We are all navigating new territory in this and it certainly would be helpful to others.
