Hey all, thought I'd finally share some things on here (and I'm not a share kinda guy) since I've been reading everyone else's updates, they are helpful. I got my two Phizers back in April and felt nothing but a brief sore arm and thought great I'm not like all the other suckers who got bad reactions. Well yesterday got my third shot and wow, payback is a b****! I had chills so bad last night, I couldnt get out of bed to pee until I just manned up and went, after putting all my clothes on. I popped a couple tylenols and an Excedrin tension headache pill and am currently drinkin my morning coffee. I haven't felt this sick in about ten years, when I last had a regular flu and the doctor(GP) yelled at me to get a yearly flu shot(he' a buddy) turns out he was right, who knew, science! Jk, of course. I spose I'll take it easy today..
Started Alcala at end of June and my white cells popped from 80k to 120k in first 2 weeks. At one month it dropped to 100 and 2 months, 3 days ago, down to 90, first time in about 2 years my WBC ticked down 2 visits in a row, I know that can change but Im a fan of good news and it's anice change when your Oncologist is actually smiling when they give you results. So It appears this stuff is working(for now), though I do have low platelets, so she is keeping an eye on that among other numbers. I get all the side effects and they are calming down and new ones pop up but I'll take it because when I had the Rituxin combos five years ago it really was rough on me and yet it saved my life. I told her, that 2 times I forgot to take my 7pm dose and she grabs my iphone, does a couple taps and now I get a message every night at 7, Take Pill! Love her, it's the little things that help..
I also, I asked her if I should get Moderna since I had Phizer before, one word answer, no. Should I hold off on Alcala to let vax do it's thing, again no. She's like untill we know more, just get the 3rd Vax. She can talk my ear off on alot subjects of cancer but the vax questions, just go get it (My GP has same thoughts about it as well). Okay then! I do what she tells me, it's been working so far, lol. I know the vax is not perfect for us but I'm going with, if I feel like crap maybe it's actually working better this time. Yeah yeah, I'll still be safe, best I can.
Anyway, thanks for all your posts..
