Third Booster Vaccine

Good evening I am a person with CLL. I just received the third booster, last Saturday and have been in bad pain since that evening. The pain has settled in my lower back and a really bad headache after 6 days. Wondering what others have experienced. Brenda. Athens Ohio

Hi Bsv39,

I had my booster shot last Thursday and had no reaction/side effects outside of the slightest bit of arm soreness. Because you describe the back pain and the headache as bad, I would reach out to your primary care physician or your CLL specialist for guidance as soon as possible.

I had my 3 rd shot of Moderna on Wednesday and once again I only had pain at the injection site. Contacting your doctor would be the best recommendation.

I had my 3rd Moderna a couple of days ago. Pain in my arm where shot was, otherwise no ill effects.

My 3rd Moderna tried to punch me right off the face of the earth and I have never beenthat beat up in my life before. No more future vaccinations for me.

After the second Moderna vax and all the issues I had for nearly two months, I’ll have to take my chances without a booster. When will the boosters end? Another one in six months? Be well, Sally

Pfizer 3rd dose on Thursday and very sore arm which feels swollen and almost limits my range of motion. Feels just like every tetanus shot I have ever had. I have heard of people getting headaches from the Covid vaccine.

Bsv39 I sure hope you are starting to feel better now. I had a real strong reaction to the third shot. Starting about 12 hours after the shot I had about 14 hours of headache and severe body pain and felt as though somebody had taken a hammer to every joint and muscle in my body. After the 14 hours it slowly resolved. I'm 6 days out and my back pain/arthritis seem to have flared up a bit. And I'm tired off and on. I think as time passes these symptoms will resolve. With the second shot I noticed fatigue for about 11 days. I hope yours symptoms have resolved!!

Had my 3rd Moderna booster shot about 5 months after my first two shots. I had the worst reaction so far. Day 1, sore arm. Day 2, Flulike symptoms and huge swelling of my sweat gland in the arm that received the shot(lasted 5 days). Really fatigued for about 6 days. Back to normal now, but I wonder if it was worth it. When it comes to CLL, it's totally unclear if you have built up any antibodies to Covid, or not.

I'm 70 and have been on W/W for 8 years. I'm fortunate that all my CLL indicators point in a good direction. My only real symptom is extreme fatigue. My current white count is about 5 times the normal Max white count, but I've heard many people with higher counts who haven't been treated yet.

I got the third shot , booster, last Friday 8.20.My lymph node in my arm pit grew to 5x 6 cm as measured by Dr. Choi.

I had my third shot last Friday with no ill effects at all. My first and third shots were Pfizer and my second was a Moderna. I'm 62, on Imbruvica for 15 months and doing very well.
