The title says it all. My wife and I are both CEV and live in Wales. We received our second vaccination in April 21 (via our GP). We were offered and received the booster at the start of November from a vaccination centre in Wales . One week later we received letters offering the third primary from the Hospital Trust in England where I was diagnosed with CLL and my wife was treated for breast cancer in 2020/2021. Powys where we live has no general hospitals so most of us end up in English Hospitals.
On checking I got an apology from the English Hospital about the delay in sending letters for third primaries (so some of you may be in a similar situation to us). I was also advised at the time to hang on to the letters as they could be used to get another booster in six months. Subsequently the latest shielding advice from the Welsh Government is that we will be offered another booster three months after the third primary (Feb 22)
Right now we feel we are one jab down on where we should be. I am expecting to have to either try and get the next booster via the English route (three months rather than six) or try and use the letter in Wales to persuade them to treat our first booster as a third primary.
I would be interested if anyone else is in this position and any advice.
PS - just to make it really fun my consultant team are from a hospital in Liverpool and are keeping a low profile
Happy New Year to everyone and hoping you all stay safe and well.

I think the problem began when the 3rd vaccination was called a booster. The nhs computers didnt recognise the vaccination as 3rd vacs and all jabs were boosters. You have had 3 jabs and they will change your records if you ask so that it is now registered as 3rd vaccination.
In England the booster is 91 days after the 3rd vaccination. Mine isnt due until 24 Jan. Its possible you may have to wait a few weeks if your 3rd vaccination was in November.
Another thought, might it be a good idea to contact the local health board itself. They would point you in the right direction. Possibly try this link also..pthb.nhs.wales/coronavirus/...
Hi JonI am pretty much the same regarding the 3rd primary vaccine. After having doses 1&2 I was due for my 3rd in November. With work and omicron I don’t get round to booking it until December when I was told I wasn’t eligible for the 3rd dose so I booked a booster and had that. Speaking to my consultant just before Christmas she said I should of had the 3rd primary but have the booster instead. Maybe I’ll get a letter soon as well.
My husband is the one with CLL and he has had three doses, but the third primary dose has been recorded as a booster so, on his records he is not eligible for another jab.I rang 119 and they were very helpful and, eventuality, they said they have completed a request for his records to be changed… this takes up to 21 days…so we are just waiting now.
He has had no letter, nor had anything about having a PCR test to keep at home, or access to any of the new drugs available, should he ever test positive for covid, but there might be a letter soon…
It’s exhausting, isn’t it, as well as coping with the CLL treatment and blood tests etc.,etc…?🤦🏽♀️
I was in the same boat as your husband and although I did ask the dept on 119 to correct my records. The on line and phone bookings set up said I too was fully vaccinated. I got in touch with mygp and explained I was due a 4th jab and he gave me a letter to say I was eligible which I took to the local walk in vaccination centre ..No problem there I got my 4th jab just before christmas and the centre fast tracked me through to keep me away from other people too.The 4th jab went into the nhs data base as a booster so my records no have two boosters on them! This week I got two letters from my local nhs to invite me for my 4th jab !!!
I think that similar confusion exists for many who should have received a third primary but had their third vaccine listed as a booster. You’ll need to wait 91 days after your last jab in November (ie 3rd) and then take the letter inviting you for a third primary, along with a consultant letter stating you have CLL, to a walk in centre for jab #4 booster. This is a recommended procedure on the nhs website.
Also on the England nhs website, you can find walk-in centres near you and some also list their phone numbers. It would be worthwhile giving them a call first.
Thanks to everyone and your suggestions. I have several things to try and a month before the three month booster is due. I absolutely agree that we have enough to think about without having to scrabble through the red tape.
I finally got a response from my health board in Wales to the effect that the booster I had in November was recorded as a third primary and that I should be offered the booster (fourth jab) in a few weeks time. If I don't receive this they suggest I go to my local walk vaccination centre as a walk in,
