Acalabrutinib anniversary

Hi everyone never posted before, never really needed to, as practically all my questions have mostly been answered in the feeds. A big thank you to all for your contributions.

I was lucky enough to be selected for an Alcalabrutinib trial last August, only one of two in our NHS area. No real side affects apart from a few skin blemishes, and WBC count falling steadily, so quite content.

Unfortunately as we are all aware we are immunosuppressed , we must keep shielding, so little pleasures can be important to us. Here is one of mine:

I am disabled and need to use a mobility scooter and have a small dog so my delight is to take him for his walks suitably attired with a mask etc. I am able to meet other dog owners at a distance and during this time of abundant Lavender I am able to pick a few sprigs and place them inside the mask and enjoy some Lavender scented excursions.

To all take care, don't despair enjoy your simple pleasures

I think I’m going to copy your tip, Krodney. I love the smell of real lavender (and it’s supposed to have a calming influence - might be handy when you meet non-mask wearers!).

Well said. I could drive myself mad thinking about the things I can’t and may never do again such as theatre, cinema etc but I’m not going to focus on those things. We have a litter of 7 black Labrador pups and they are a great distraction at the moment. 🥰

They’re adorable but I bet really hard work! 😉

I’m trying to work out what the pup with the blue collar is chewing.

Glad your trial is going well krodney and that you’re finding simple but important pastimes to sustain you 👍 Its what we all need to do just now.

Yes! to your attitude and practices---Move on down, Move on down the road! Living is an everyday need to take stock of what we are about and then the need to do that as safe and best we can in whatever the confines of our life.

Thank you for the lavender idea, I grow it in my garden so will give it a try. My own not so little dog is unwell just now so we aren't going out much. The irony is that he may have blood cancer.....waiting for lab results. If he has he may ask to join here and have his own profile ☺
