Hi I got my blood taken and I had a CAT scan on my lungs because they had found a shadow and it came out that it’s growing a little bit.. going to repeat test in a couple of months..

but the doctor took me off imbruvica for two weeks and Bactrim that I’ve been taken every other day.. due to low ANC .. absolute neutrophil count

any thoughts are welcome!

Thank you!!

When I was taken off Imbruvica due to big sudden drop in ANC, it just took a week or 2 before neutrophils rose enough that I could go back on. Hoping the same for you!

If your bone marrow stops making neutrophils, it takes about 10 days from when it restarts before new neutrophils appear in your blood. Neutrophils only last a matter of days at most. I presume you are aware of the importance of protecting yourself against infection, I including which foods to avoid?

If your neutrophils don't recovery, you may need G-CSF injections to jump start your bone marrow.

take good care of yourself, stay away from people for a bit until your counts go back up, which they will. Maybe ask your doctor if you should take additional vitamin c. 🙏❤️

I had been in Imbruvica 420 for 6 months when they pulled me off due to two types of pneumonia and shadows on both lungs. A PET scan ruled out cancer and I dealt with pneumonia for several months as well as very low ANC .5-1.0. I have since been off he Imbruvica for a full year and on Watch and Wait and doing very well. WBC is slowly climbing and the doctor told me when I once again reach treatment stage it won’t be Imbruvica. My ANC is back to 1.5-2.5. I do receive IVIG every 4 weeks and have for 2-3 years. I have had CLL for nearly 31 years and doing great.
