I live in North Central Wisconsin (Marathon county) USA about 2 hours drive directly North of the capital of Madison, Wisconsin. Can anyone please recommend a really good CLL MD specialist near this region? I've had CLL for many years but as it progresses I'm thinking I may need some second opinions or direct care from a real CLL MD expert. I appreciate any suggestions. Thank you,. Hi Bobsterguy. Here are a couple of recommendations from the CLL SOCIETY. Looks like Milwaukee is closest.
Wisconsin
Julie E. Chang, MD, University of Wisconsin, Carbone Cancer Center, Madison
Ehab Atallah, MD, Medical College of Wisconsin, Froedtert Cancer Center, Milwaukee

Best wishes.
Hi Bobsterguy,
For patients that are some distance from their CLL expert, we often suggest that you consider seeing the expert about once per year and whenever treatment is considered. Routine testing, exams and diagnosis of common infections can be done by a local Hem/Onc or a alert, inquisitive GP.

We have been very happy with our experience at the Mayo Clinic. They have several CLL experts and are heavily involved in current research. It is well worth the two hour drive for us.
Mayo Clinic is probably the BEST, otherwise Univ of Wisconsin...very few small town MD's have knowledge of CLL.

Diagnosed mid 2017. 6 month of R&B last half of 2018. 3 clean blood test since. Dr Weber and staff of nurses are my angels from God. They made me feel I was their most important patient . That my friend goes a long ways in treating this cancer. Dr Weber is on top of her game when it comes to CLL.
By the way, I’m from Wausau, graduated from Newman ‘65.
Cheers
