Hi I like difflam products. They do a mouth wash, gel and spray. They also do sweets that can be carried with you when out and about. I use these when I have ulcers. I also found germaline complete and igloo useful.

I recently started to use Gengigel mouth wash to prevent ulcers. It has worked really well for me.

If the ulcers do not respond your doctor can prescribe oral or systemic steroids.

Good luck

My reply some how ended up on another post. I take 2 Brazil nuts daily, they worked very good however occasionally I had a few break though so I went to plan B and add a drop of oregano oil on my toothbrush, don't swallow, swish and spit out. I have no mouth sores.

I use hydrogen peroxide - swish in mouth in morning in place of mouthwash - itā€™s cheap and it works. I also gargle with it when my left tonsil infects periodically - CLL is like a game of Wack a Mole - just when you think the infections are under control - something new pops up

Difflam mouth wash. I had to stop Ibrutinib because of really severe Mucositis which started as 'ulcers' Of all the treatments I was prescribed by the hospital (including Morphine!) Difflam was the most effective. If you start losing weight because you can't eat, do contact your cnsultant. Hope you get some relief soon.

I too have brazil nuts with my morning medication, have done for many years. I was told to have them - actually ones coated in high cocoa content dark chocolate - to boost the endorphins related to pain control, and to help with depression.

I just got rid of the only one with baking soda. 3 times a day.

Got a prescription for a Nystatin liquid but was gone before I received it.

Try the drug colchicine. It was developed for gout but miraculously ends mouth ulcers.

I had gum ulcers after my chemo and went to a dental surgeon who treated me with steroids and some ointment dont recall which ointment it was 5 years ago. I remember the pain was terrible until it was treated .

Magic mouth wash did nothing to help.

My Dr. prescribed Nystatin liquid. Swish it around in your mouth and swallow it or spit it out. Worked fairly well, plus I used GlycoThymaline mouthwash and a hydrogen peroxide based mouthwash once or twice a day.

When I feel the "tinkle" of a mouth or lip sore I take L-lysine seem to reduce the time and pain to heal, I take 1 pill, 2 or 3 times a day. Check with your Dr.

Oregano oil worked best for me. Just 1 drop on tooth brush and paste. It is strong. I some times rinse it off a bit too before.

I have 1 Brazil nut a day for selenium.

Be well,

I haven't tried, but heard that the herb Burdock is good. Has anyone else tried this?

I'm going to start looking for choc coated Brazil nuts to start my day!

Hello. Iā€™m fortunate in that I donā€™t get mouth ulcers, but I have been told that putting Marmite on them is helpful.

Following. Have a prescription mouthwash, dexamethasone, but they donā€™t want me to use it all the time. And I havenā€™t had to. But have had bouts of mouth sores and it is not pleasant.

I have used over-the-counter ā€œKank-Aā€ and just picked up some numbing lozenges and spray, but havenā€™t tried those yet.

Hello use 1-2 drops lemon essential oil 2x day. Yes it will probably sting but you'll see it get smaller every day. You'll know it's healing as the sting gets less & less

Oil of oragano. It was a tip from this site and it really works for me. I put a couple of drops on my toothbrush along with the paste. You can also drop it in water and take orally.
