Have you had the results of the ultrasound or are you still waiting for them? Sometimes an enlarged spleen can cause the tummy to swell and look bloated. Sounds to me like you may need a more precise look with a CT scan. The lump above the navel could even be a hernia.
If your chest infection isn’t clearing with the antibiotics, please push your doctor for a referral to a lung/respiratory specialist because this needs more careful analysis as to the cause.
I totally understand your fears Jen. I had an ultrasound last week and a full body CT yesterday for similar concerns and am too awaiting results. I’m in the UK not USA.
Just hold onto the thought that enlarged nodes are very much part of the CLL landscape as are chest infections. They’re not unusual or unexpected.
Copjen , hang in there. There are many of us on this site who are standing with you. There is a lot of good information on this site. I live in the USA but have relatives who live down under. My mother was a British war bride who came to America with my father who served in the UK during WW11
I have a perpendicular protrusion on the left side of my abdomen. A CT scan a year ago showed a diffusely enlarged spleen so, I'm thinking that is what is causing the bulge...my GI doctor says the perpendicular bulge is the descending colon but it could still be (the bulge) from the enlarged spleen. I too have had sinusitis and bronchitis and a horrible cough for 4 months.
Hi Copjen, I am from the Gold Coast, diagnosed a year ago but appears on my blood reports for 9 years, go figure. I try to stay positive, stay working where I don't have to give it too much thought. This is a great community. Best wishes.
I have also had the bloated stomach problem, with mine developing in to daily feelings of nausea after every meal, my haematologist gave me some metoclopramide tablets to help with the nausea and after a month everything settled down again so not sure if I had a bug or if it was cll related all I do know is that it wasn’t very nice. I hope you get your symptoms sorted out soon as.
