If you receive a strange private message asking you to email Mark Thomas, it is a SCAM

We have a persistent spammer that uses a very unusual method of spamming: sending private messages to members. His username varies but the private message he sends is asking to send him an email. Here is an example:

I have important discussion with you and I hope to hear from you so I can send you more details,Please do not write here on the site for security reasons of the site.Send me via [e-mail]

After someone sends him an email, he then asks for personal information and then sends an email informing that he is a lawyer and that a relative with the same last name passed and there is a lot of inheritance money.

He is very persistent in his efforts.

This is obviously a scam.

He is currently active, despite many attempts of HU to ban him. He joins with many different usernames.

Please report any messages you receive by clicking on 3 dots "..." and choosing report. This will send a notification to HU. Please also inform us about the username so that we can restrict him in our community and warn other community admins.
