There is good news in the advancement of chemo-free approaches to managing chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and I am thrilled to share it with you.
Results of the phase III ECOG trial found that the combination of ibrutinib (Imbruvica) plus rituximab (Rituxan) came out superior to the chemotherapy and immunotherapy (chemoimmunotherapy) grouping of fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, and rituximab, known as FCR.

I'm new to this site not new to CLL Was diagnosed in 1992. Nov of 18' my Dr told me it had become active. He put me on Ibrutinib 420. After 11 days took me off due to bleeding for a week from biopsy and infection. On ivig monthly. Ibrutinib did lower my white count and
raise my platelets in the 11 days. I'm now on 140mg I was awake much of the night yet and read the introduction to you Nof1 book. I can't tell you how much it helped me. I ordered it and look forward to reading all of it. I could relate to your experiences. Oh and my name is Linda! So thank you for sharing...it helps.
