Hi all, I recently had a health check up with the NHS. I'm 47, not a heavy drinker, don't smoke. The results have come back on the app and say they need to be discussed with a medical team first. That's left me slightly worried as my glucose level was fine and my blood pressure is at the higher end of normal. Would anyone here be able to help make sense of them for me please? Any guidance gratefully received, thank you.

In my experience the medical advice will be that as you don't have any other risk factors you should make some diet modifications and move on, marginal for statins. Though the cutoff for high cholestorel is 5. I think it's worse than that, it's annoying they don't give you the Ldl number anymore as it must be too high and thats not good. Triglycerides are too high. To prevent cardiovascular disease your total should be 4 or less, achievable by avoiding animal fat and increasing consumption of soluble fibre like porridge and beans and pulses. Don't have food if you're drinking beer as it rises triglycerides further. What was your BP?
Ezetimibe can lower bad cholesterol (LDL) but best speak to the experts.
