Hi guys, I started talking to a great guy on a dating website. We really hit it off and we are still talking daily. After a few months of talking and getting to know each other, we are planning to meet in person soon. I expressed how excited I was to see him and kiss him. He was in a car accident and has some scarring and partial facial paralysis. He said he was nervous about kissing because the left side of his mouth is paralyzed, and I wasnt sure how to comfort or reassure him. I was honestly surprised because before in conversations he said he wasnt sensitive about any of his facial differences. Can anyone give me some advice on what I can say to help him feel less nervous? Or if I should leave it alone until we meet? Thank you!

Hi PalePinkPeachy
Thank you for your post and for sharing your situation with us. It great that you have found a connection with someone and it sounds like they felt comfortable sharing with you that they were feeling worried about how their visible difference may affect things.
I can hear you are feeling uncertain about whether to discuss this with them again before meeting up but its also clear you would like to offer reassurance and help them feel less anxious.
Its great you have taken time to ask others if there is anything you can do to be supportive and I hope you find this a helpful place to hear from others about things that have been helpful for them.
Take Care
