Just an update after my hospital visit the other week.

I could be having surgery as soon as early April. Wow. Holy [beep!]

It feels like work want to help. but actually can't break away from meetings long enough to listen.

So on wednesday, i've called a conference with my named GP.

And from there we will declare myself sick. Tactically.

I hate being pushed this route. i'm neither sick nor disabled, but struggling with policies and procedures when i just need to knock off a series of hospital tests.

Its frustrating.

I know people want to help, but I find it maddening when the help on offer is actually more for their benefit than mine.

So i have some U2 on .... The album is Zooropa.

On it is a tune called "Some days are better than others". Boy did they get that right!

it has a very apt lyric

Some days are dry, some days are leaky

Some days come clean, other days are sneaky

Some days take less, but most days take more

Some slip through your fingers and onto the floor

Some days you're quick, but most days you're speedy

Some days you use more force than is necessary

It feels like I have just had to use way more force (by declaring myself sick and getting a doctor to concur) than I should have done.

aye yay yay. I will get there. Surgery coming, but what fights are still out there to be fought? Goodness knows, Each day as it comes .....

And more music needed.

The Zoorapa album has another great tune on it, "the First time".

I has a wonderful song about love and relationships.

I have a lover

A lover like no other

She got soul, soul, soul, sweet soul,

and she teached me how to sing

Shows me colours when there's none to see

Gives me hope when I can't believe

For the first time...... I feel love

Mrs CB right here, right now. And therefore doing fine. Just emotional. and wishing work would leave me alone.

Hi there, Circuitbreaker, so glad to hear from you and your experiences at the hospital which you turned into an adventure into music, feelings and good vibes.

Believe it or not, that gets to us all in colorful and vivid news of happy outcomes for you.

Thanks for sharing those snippets, I'm pretty sure they contribute to your wellbeing, like they say, "music is a natural cure for the mind". I hope everything goes out well for you.

Thanks for the heads up, Man. As always...

Hang in there!!!! 😠😜

I can turn it into Bad Vibes and an Ibsen play if your prefer?! 🤣

Lets not do that.

Actually, I can post now a bit of an update. The trouble I was having was keeping focus on the health appointments while trying to stay focused on work.

The two aren't normally incompatible, and they shouldn't be, but what actually happened was that the hospital needed to drive the schedule somewhat. Normally work and day-to-day life drive the schedule and a GP appointment fits in.

That threw our schedule right up in the air more so that normal. which is why i think everyone got frustrated, me especially so.

add into the mix a covid case in the vicinity and all manner of heck broke out. That said, we seem to be back on track now assuming that my tests do go ahead next week (if not, then I will have an expression of a bear with a headache after being stung by a lorry load of honey deprived bees.
