I have had my Liver blood test and the serum ALT level is showing 46 which is outside the normal range, my Doctors comment is ‘OK stable)

I spoke to my GP as l was concerned he said that he would be concerned only if it was 2-3 times above normal.

All other liver readings are normal.

It is barely outside of normal and indeed in some labs it would be in range. Absolutely nothing to be alarmed about.

Your ALT can change hourly with exercise, common bugs like having a cold. Your doctor is correct in that they only get concerned if it is well above upper limit of normal.
