Your mother's doctor is better placed to know/advice upon the safety of this procedure than any of us. Hoping it helps her.

This is down to the mechanism that helps retain fluid in the blood stream where its supposed to be. An infusion should therefore help reduce the amount of fluid that leaks into other areas causing things like eodema or ascites. I never had paracentesis, but did have a couple of albumin infusions. I don't see any reason there would be an issue, but do ask the medical team this question too if you are concerned. They won't mind you asking and will probably give you a much better explanation of the processes involved than I possibly could, lol.
