I was diagnosed with liver cancer by my consultant yesterday (Friday 31st May 2024). They are going to take a liver biopsy in a couple of weeks as I am going on holiday next Monday. Then once this is done I will be having radiography. I am going to be positive and hopefully fight this all the way.
Liver Cancer: I was diagnosed with liver... - British Liver Trust
Liver Cancer
Sorry to hear your bad news. The good news is that there is treatment for you and I am loving your positivity and fighting spirit which will help you mentally. I was a cancer patient once but not for my liver. I had chemotherapy. I hope you have a lovely holiday and I am wishing you all the very best with your treatment and I am sending you lots of positive vibes. Take care.
Stay positive, sending virtual hugs x
I am also sorry you got this diagnosis but hopefully caught early and can be treated. And yes enjoy your holiday and all the very best with next steps.
i had liver cancer .The tumour was found about 6cms .i elected to have sabr (6 sessions of radiotherapy)and was cured so far .in 2020 I went to the q.e. hospital.i still have blood tests and ct scans to monitor my liver.good luck .My very best wishes
a biopsy is usually done to see whether the tumour is cancerous or benign lets hope it miggt be the latter
I hope you have a lovely holiday. Get plenty of rest and relaxation so you are in good shape for whatever gets thrown at you. I hope the biopsy brings good news and that treatment is not too tough. And, most importantly, that it is a resounding success.
Best of luck, hope to hear all is well after your treatment x
sorry to hear your bad news. I guess the reason they screen us is so that they catch it early and have positive outcomes. Enjoy your holiday and recharge your batteries ready for when you start treatment.
Wishing you all the best at this time and its great to read that your staying positive. My thoughts are with you.
Sorry to hear about your news. My cancer was discovered in 2016. I had no idea I was ill at all.
No symptoms really apart from some weight loss. I was in a state of shock for some time.
After diagnosis a Liver Transplant was my only option which was carried out after a thankfully
short time on the waiting list. I'm still here after all this time and in reasonably good health.
I like to think that I am proof that there is a future for others who have gone through this
experience. The care I had with the NHS in Edinburgh was second to none and I will be
forever grateful to the people who still look out for me and of course my donor.
I wish you all the best.
