I saw one of my liver consultants yesterday. He explained how far the liver cancer had grown from 3 centimetres to 3.6 centimetres.
It is operable, so I have said I will go for this option, which hopefully, once I have had my pre-operative assessment, he will operate within the next month fingers crossed. I feel this is the right route to go through providing I pass the pre-operative assessment.
I am still feeling very positive and will fight this terrible disease. I shall keep you all posted. π

Hi! I keep fingers crossed for you! You seem to have a strong personality! Not everybody is able to deal with such a disease as graciously and bravely as you do! This has to go well as the lump is small. I hope you pass the preop assessment and the whole surgery with flying colors. You have to!!!
I can only speak from my own experiences. I have just been given the all clear after the removal of a 2:5cm tumour on the liver near my right lung. This was done by micro surgery. I first had an attempted biopsy which failed! Then an attempted removal which got about two thirds of it. Finally a successful removal of the rest, though they did βNickβ my lung. I recovered quickly and the team at Aintree Hospital were lovely and brilliant. Keep the faith. Everything is possible. Steve from Southport
my lesion was 6cm and iread that i could opt for sabrt treatment at birmingha hospital. i had 5 20 minutes og this targeted radiation therapy which was painless and successgul.not every hospital offers this trratment.that was 4 years ago.they assumed i was having surgery until i replied to a phone call and politely explained that id chosen sabre .Might be worth asking about this .good luck.
yes you have to go through with it and get that cancer gone. Keeping you in my thoughts for a speedy recovery and great outcome. Just curious. Were you going for MRIs or skins every six months and is that how they found it?
The fact that it is operable is great news for you .I had the very same thing it was slightly smaller and I was 62 at the time .the QE in Birmingham performed the livertransplant I was out 5 days later ,I'm 70 now still going g strong thanks to them .Good luck for the future keep positive there is light at the end of the tunnel as I found out
I have my Pre-Op Assessment next Wednesday so fingers crossed this will be ok. I will keep you all posted. Once again, many thanks to you all who replied as this means so much to me.
