so …. I consider myself a fairly intelligent individual, but the thing I don’t get is why does our consultants want our bloods normal , how does that help us when I’ve read your still classed as cirrhotic and it’s just the the healthy bits of the liver are emitting these correct chemicals , does this just disguise the disease . I’m glad mine are good but does that help my body . People have said the blood tests above all else are most important. My INR is 1.1 is this ok ? Sorry for all the questions thank you

liver health
Normal, healthy bloods despite scarring would indicate that the body is coping well with how the Liver is functioning. Thus, the term Compensated - the body has compensated the lack and managing. That's how I understand it anyway. ??Atb

normal bloods should definitely be celebrated, it means that even though your liver has been damaged for the time being it can cope with most of its many jobs. My partner went from decompensated to compensated and his symptoms improved dramatically so it’s not a mask more and indicator of how well your liver is doing at that moment
It's like a car with a 4 speed gearbox.4th gear is knackered but still chuggs along on the other 3, it gets to your destination but not as efficient.
If you abuse the other 3 it's going to stop working
Your life is the car and your livers the gearbox.
