FLC Serum
So I just got back my Free Light Chain Serum results and honestly, I can't figure out what this means. Kappa FLC, serum 20.84 (High) Lambda FLC - 7.89 (normal) Kappa/Lambda FLC Ratio - 2.64 (High) Also had SPEP + IFE Reflex done - can't figure out what this means either. All is normal except

Hi all, I am posting on behalf of my brother in hope of some advice or signposting. I’ll try and keep it as brief as possible - my brother became unwell ten years ago with alopecia totalis, a weird discoid rash and stomach issues. For concurrent years doctors felt he had some kind of ibd/ibs and

SHBG test through Medichecks?
I've had my thyroid tests done with them already, so I believe the only ones I'm missing for the upcoming appt are Oestradiol, Testosterone, and Sex Hormone Binding
Globulin
(SHBG). I can't find where Medichecks has a
test
for all three. Has anyone else done one?

Cortisol saliva vs blood serum
Potentially something to do with transporters, but for the life of me, I cannot find anything anywhere and I can't
test
CBG where I am (binding
globulin
for cortisol). I have done an iron IV to see if it helps me with tolerating medication, but it doesn't seem to be the answer.

Inpatient stay - Overlap Syndrome?
Hello all! So I have posted on here over the past year a few times about my progress with autoimmune disease. So they so far have high suspicion of Lupus/SLE (still), but now my Rheumatologist ordered that I go (next week) to inpatient care at the hospital for a week long evaluation, day and night.

LFT Results - Help
I have had some tests done recently and I was expecting the liver would be an issue. I have been a heavy drinker for quite some time. I had full bloods done which were all fine. Electrolytes were also fine. The doctor said my LFTs were abnormal, I asked if it indicated Cirrhosis and he said he didn't

Liver biopsy + updates
Following on from my post towards the end of last year I am still in a similar position. My CLL Specialist seemed concerned. I need help understanding test results.
Hi my CLL was diagnosed in Sept. 2021. I was treated for AIHA in January 2022 with rituximab which got me back running. I have lost a lot of my fitness since then. My recent results (my interpretation) indicate disease progression. I could use some help figuring out what my test results mean. Thank

High IgM and other markers
Hi, just had some more blood tests and my globulin and IgM levels are high. I understand they're linked with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. Has anyone else experienced this after a recent PA diagnosis? Thanks.

Beta Globulin deposits in dialysis patients
I am on Dialysis for 4 yrs after my first transplant failed. I have started developing knee joint pain most probably due to beta globulin deposits. Anyone experienced this? Any possible treatment for this? I have asked my dialysis center for high flux dializer. But I could not find any treatment. Alternative

Oral Iron supplements, doing it wrong!
Well, I got my full blood test back and after some analysis, I think I messed up. I have been supplementing daily with 36 milligrams of ferrous bisglysinate. Here are my lab results that concern me. Ferritin was 72! This is my lowest since my infusion in 2016. Eight weeks after my infusion
