I am looking to get holiday insurance to Greece following a liver transplant in September 2020. I have contacted a number of recommended insurers and am shocked at the variation in price for similar cover. For a 10 day cover, this has ranged from £550 to £1300! I am happy to give anyone who is interested, the name of the company that I have found most helpful and reasonable and would also appreciate it if anyone has any other recommendations. Many thanks.

I haven't had a transplant but like you but do have Cirrhosis along with other aliments - I have used Allclear Insurance for a holiday later in 2022. They were reasonable. I have clearance to fly from my GP
Hi Rockie, Thanks for this, it’s really helpful. I think there are several companies out there ready to make a profit at the unfortunate position that we find ourselves in. Enjoy your holiday, I think we deserve to live a little now 😊👍 xx
I pay £870 a year for worldwide cover, including the US. I’ll dig through paperwork tomorrow to see who I went through. Difference is I haven’t had a transplant(but declared cirrhosis with past bleeding varices) but I’d have thought that made you less risky..but insurance companies have always confounded me in their decision making process…
I haven't had a Liver Transplant but do have decompensated Chirrosis, Ascites and Edema, and was diagnosed in August 2021. A kind person on the Forum recommended Coverwise (apologies that I can't remember who) and I ended up paying £141 for annual cover for Europe (not worldwide) for two people, myself aged 56 when I took out the policy and my Partner aged 53, generally healthy. I thought that was quite cheap.
