Gallstones and Liver connection

Can anybody tell me - if having elevated enzymes would be connected to having gallstones? I have been diagnosed with them in the passed two weeks and was also told there is a shadow on my liver (Behind the gallstone).Which sent me into melt down. I am beyond terrified and cannot sleep at night for worrying that I might have a deadly disease. Please can somebody save my sanity as the waiting is unbarable!

Liver blood tests can indeed by elevated with gallstones. You might find the BLT page on Gallstones a useful read. britishlivertrust.org.uk/in...

I am wondering if mine is gallbladder. I have a high liver enzyme 42 meant to be 30 but I get back ache and shoulder ache have since I’ve had my daughter on and off and someone said it could actually be gallbladder related. I’m having a scan in December so she said they’d check liver and gallbladder etc

Hi there I also have gallstones the elevated levels in liver bloods are indication of that x

Hello jemmy228,

I have included a link to liver disease tests for information.

Hi, Yes, I was having colic type pains in my upper right quadrant -behind my ribs and so initially had an ultrasound scan that showed the Gallstones (2 HUGE stones according to the scan chappy) he also said he could see a shadow behind the gallstones, but couldn't make it out on the ultrasound, so I have since had more blood tests and a ct scan -waiting on the results of both of those. I can't see my GP due to Covid and a phone consultation with him, he listed me many things that it could be -and a no time did he make reference to it being attributed to the gallstones -he suggested I could have NAFLD -followed by, well it could be hepatitis - the fact that he didn't say this could be gallstone related, caused me a great deal of distress -but thank you for your kind response
