Hi huys thank you for being so helpful and not judging for my mum issue.
Following up on your posts to help me make a decision.
Could I please ask you all what symptoms did you have that lef to a diagnosis of mild or severe depression.
Like I said in my last post, my fella says that I have mood swings..and I feel a bit fed up with my situation, I have other things going on but not sure they are depression related. Just feeling overwhelmed and down about not being able to do everything like before, plus financial issues. Benefit alone is not a good way to live, I had a job once upon a time.
Just so many things just looking at the reasons behind matters.
Thank you x

In my case it was alcohol, which is a depressant, that started me off, thinking about all the crap that had happened to me in my life. I had lots of nasty nightmares, that turned into sleepless nights, because I didn't want to relive the bad stuff. I was referred by my GP, to a psychologist, and had a course of treatment therapies that worked for me, and was invited to call anytime I was struggling. I did have mood swings, which led me to not wanting to meet people, even friends......I turned into a bit of a recluse.
My advice is to see your GP for a referral, as i did.
