My partner went on the list on monday and got the call last night.
Currently in Addenbrookes waiting to see if it's a viable liver. It's in the machine being tested. Scary that its happened or may happen so quickly. Feel totally unprepared but amazed at the community and team involved.
Have been following stories on here for a few months now. I think I might be asking lots of questions daily if all goes well today.
Thank you in advance x

Hi Melwill. That's great news. Hope everything goes straight forward with no problems. The Perfusion machine that they put the donor liver on is a fantastic device. It stops any deterioration of the liver whilst it's being tested. Addenbrookes can do far more transplants now with the use of this marvellous machine. I was only 10 weeks on the list and was transplanted at the first call. I was lucky enough to be one of the people transplanted in the first few months of use of the machine. The transplant team there are 1st class. Your partner is in very good hands. All the very best with everything. Alf
Hi hope all goes well 4 u both. I was only on list a matter of hours and the operation went ahead the same nite. I was in shock at the time but was great greatful it happen so quickly. Take care.
I was also transplanted after only 5 day listed! In lots of ways I'm glad it happened that way as i didn't have to sit around to long worrying about it. Life's going to be amazing!
