On the list!!!

I finally heard that I made the transplant list

Got to get my Hepatitis jabs then the wait and visit to keep on eye on me start

The waiting for the call is a stress in itself and a nice and local holiday will be necessary

I hope anyone else at this stage is coping ok

Welcome to the club!

Currently bags are packed, we have sorted out some last minutes plans as I have a little girl who will need to be looked after etc.

Trying to keep as fit as possible and stay healthy, no holiday for me I'm still at work.....

One of the weirdest things I am having is dreams every night about hospital, they are not scary or nightmares, just dreams, its very frustrating as I cannot really remember much detail, and I much prefer to dream about Jennifer Aniston riding on a jet ski with me, that is a much better dream!!

Thank you for the thought

Congratulations David. I hope you have a comfortable wait. Local holidays and trips out were a really enjoyable part of my 6 month on the list. We (re)discovered places that had dropped off our radar and it was good to plan and go. It did get a bit frustrating towards the end when the longing for some sunshine became a bit of a preoccupation.

Let us know how it all goes.

I know it's not easy but you have to try & carry on as normal. Everytime the phone rings you wonder is this it & then some foreign person talks about PPI !!!!

My partner only waited 6 weeks but that was because he was more ill than we had realised.

Very best of luck.xx

Thanks

Best wishes David, I know this is second time round for you (as regards being on the list) so fingers crossed you get the call sooner rather than later and that all goes to plan with a successful transplant.

Thank you comments much appreciated

Hi David, I'm going through the same, I made the list about 2 months ago now after what seemed never ending tests, scans & talking. I felt very relieved when I was told but a new stress took over, the panic every time the phone rings, worrying I may miss the call etc I don't know if you feel the same or if its just me. Anyway love good luck and keep us all updated xx
