I had LFTs done as part of a general health check. I’ve been asked to have LFTs rechecked in a month. Results are as follows:
Bilirubin 8
Alk phos 81
AST. 39
ALT. 37
Gamma GT 25
Protein 73
Albumin 43
Globulin 30
I also had a full blood count which was normal. The ALT and AST were highlighted as being out of range. Unfortunately I googled AST ALT ratios and have frightened myself!
Any help from somebody who understands this stuff would be appreciated.
Thanks.

No one can interpret these results except for your doctor. Questions should be directed at him/her. (Mind you Pheonix and Katie will probably give you the best advice and information here). Well I googled the de-ritis ratio and freaked out because mine was 1.29. According to Wikipedia de.wikipedia.org/wiki/De-Ri... I have full blown cirrhosis or hepatitis. When I read this crap I freaked out. But with ultrasound, MRI with contrast, elastography (sorry Katie and Phoenix amd others, but I also got this done on Monday) clearly my liver is all good, not even any fat. Ask your doctor or gastro specialist, and if in doubt get an ultrasound, MRI or Fibroscan done.Dr. Google will destroy your life as quickly as alcohol. Take care, Mark
