Testosterone πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I am not sure if any other females on here have been prescribed testosterone gel post transplant, but it's been the best thing to happen to me in years (apart from transplant of course) ...

As I have discussed before about my constant fatigue and non existent sex drive (which is still that way for now πŸ˜‚) my energy levels have gone through the roof in the last week since I started using it and I am definitely my old placid self way before I got poorly ...

Anyway it's just an idea to discuss with your own consultants if anyone is suffering from the same symptoms 😁😁😁

Yes I have suffered constant fatigue and lack of sex drive and constantly asked my Drs for help but nothing. I will now go back and ask them about this.

Did you get it from your Drs or the consultants at Leeds? Cheers X 😁

I went to gp who referred me to an endocrinologist and they had to ask Leeds if I could have as everything else lol

It's worth the wait for appointments I haven't had a nap during the day since I been using 😊

Hi I read your post re testosterone with much interest. Funny I was thinking to post about ordinary women’s hrt ie estrogeon + progesterone but just read yours with interest. I was transplanted in 2010 and drive has never recovered. I wonder were you given after trying other hrt. I haven’t been recalled by gynaecologist for years just repeat scripts for oestrogen now I don’t take as it’s heavy on liver and side effects from progesterone. Sorry I get my posts later than you guys. Glad it’s helping you.

I didn't get the testosterone for the menopause but when I was doing some research when my consultant first suggested it, I did find a forum where a lot of women are having it for the menopause 😊

I have polycystic ovaries and I haven't ever had periods until after transplant I had a very high testosterone level for years before I was ill and I was just very chilled and not hormonal lol

So after checking my levels he said I could go on it to see if it helped the night sweats, sex drive, irritability I have only been using just over a week but the difference is amazing 😁

As long as you can cope with the side effects (which I am used to) excess hair, more energy lol maybe some fluid retention but I have never had that .. if I was you I would go and discuss with your gp also just Google women on testosterone and the forum will come up, I can't remember the name of it x
