I recently got my liver profile back and heres my result
Bilirubin 1.8mg/dl
Alkaline phosphatase 100mu/dl
SGPT (ALT) 65 MU/ML
SGOT (AST) 31 MU/ML
GGT 48 IU/L
TOTAL PROTEIN 8.2G/DL
ALBUMIN 5.0G/DL
GLOBULIN 3.2G/DL
ALBUMIN/GLOBULIN RATIO 1.6
HELP!! doctor say that my ALT is high, but he doesnt seem fairly concern. But i am scare as hell!! What does it mean? Am i at risk of anything? I dont drink often only in august when i drank hardliquor with my friends at his birthday party.

None of us here are qualified to interpret liver function test results - each lab and hospital has their own stated normal range and as to whether any of yours are out of range we can't say as the range is not shown in your post. The BLT admin often jump onto these posts to request that people don't share blood test results as we are not allowed to offer what would be medical opinion when we arn't qualified to do so. ALT can rise if you have a bug or are fighting a cold etc. Are you experiencing symptoms which might give cause for concern? What was the purpose of obtaining a set of blood results i.e. why did you see doctor?
If you were experiencing symptoms then i'd want it followed up. The liver can become ill through more issues than alcohol but if you were/are symptom free it may have just been a blip that your result was raised a little. Perhaps see if doctor will repeat bloods in a couple of months to see if there is any sort of pattern.
The definition of hepatitis is inflammation of the liver. ALT is one of the liver inflammation markers so YES when you have an active inflammation of the liver it can be vastly elevated - sometimes into the thousands plus some of your other results would likely out of range too.
It is most likely your sore throat at the time of test as your ALT is barely raised.
There are various things that cause hepatitis (liver inflammation) such as the viral conditions Hep A, Hep B, Hep C, Hep E plus auto-immune hepatitis and alcohol related hepatitis.
If you are concerned you might have a viral hepatitis then your doctor should be able to test you for the presence of the virus (I take it you were vaccinated against Hep B as a child as it is the only one there is a preventative immunisation for).
You don't appear to have any ongoing liver ill health based on the figures you shared. Have you got symptoms that make you think you may be ill?
The HepB injection usually creates long-term immunity. Infants who receive the HepB series should be protected from hepatitis B infection not only throughout their childhood but also into their adult years.
So yes your Hep B vaccine should still be offering protection from that particular condition.
Your doctor is not at all concerned so neither should you be. You don't have symptoms. You had a minor bug when you had tests done and more than likely this was a blip due to that bug. I'd leave it a few weeks and if your doctor will retest then do so but I'd think that your doctor won't want to do costly tests based on there being no history of illness.
Differences in normal range for different laboratories can make it difficult to compare or comment on individual test results specifically. This is due to the different brand of tests that are used and how these are interpreted.

However, it really would be best to discuss your test results with your own doctors who know you best,
Your ALT is a little high (normal is between 10-40) although some scales go up to 50. I don’t drink and my first reading was nearly 200 so I had to start medication and it now sits around your level. I saw a liver specialist who, apart from scans every few years, doesn’t want to see me unless it goes up over 200 again. Your doctor will prob want to retest in a few months. Try not to drink anything and cut down on bad fats and see if that makes a difference. Your liver obviously doesn’t like something you’re eating or drinking and usually fats and alcohol are the culprits - although as said I don’t drink either and my ALT and my Gamm GT (usually an indicator of alcohol) were both high.
