My question seems so small compared to what so many of you are going through, and I can only apologise but please no negative comments.
I had part of my liver removed last June. And my stomach still looks like I'm 8 months pregnant, I have even had someone ask me how long I have left ( until the birth ) my surgeon at my checkup told me it's from where they they folded the muscle over when stitching me up. Can anyone suggest stomach exercises, food, anything to help. I'm not over weight anywhere except for this bulging belly, 😥

Melody, no question is too small or insignificant in this forum. We all suffer from different problems but they are problems none the less which affect our daily living and well being.
Firstly, you have been through surgery, your body has been traumatised and that can take time to heal. May I ask why you had part of your liver removed? I ask because the underlying condition might be related.
I too suffer from this enormous abdomen and have recieved the same comments as you, even though anyone with half a brain can see that I am too old to be pregnant (naturally 🙄). No doctor that I have asked can help me however, I have studied my eating habits by keeping a food diary and have found that bread makes things worse. I am not gluten intolerant but perhaps have a sensitivity. Salads and garlic, my healthy options are also culprits so I moderate my intake. The usual recommendations of staying away from fizzy drinks and spicey foods also applies and drink plenty of water if your health conditions allow. Perhaps a food diary for a few weeks might help you?
As for exercise, because you have had surgery, it's best to discuss an exercise program suitable for you with your doctor . Personally, I walk and I am acutely aware of how I bend. I tend not to bend from the waist down as my big belly gets in the way however, since gas is the most obvious contender for our problem it makes more sense to try and bend in the middle to try to release the gas.
Have you had hormone levels checked, I don't wish to frighten you but there are a few hormonal disturbances which can cause your symptom.
Speak with your doctor and let us kniw how you are getting on.
I can't suggest anything specific, but have you asked your specialist or g.p. if they could perhaps refer you to someone for appropriate exercises taking into account your operation? They may also know if there are reasons for it taking its own sweet time reducing in size.
When I had a c section years ago it took me ages because some stomach muscles were cut so I can imagine how you feel.
